mIRC and Combat Arms

Hopefully most of you know how to work Internet Relay Chat (IRC). Join the #combatarms channel at QuakeNet If you have no idea what IRC is and need help to get chatting then do the following: 1.) Download mIRC from http://www.mirc.com and Register at Quake Net from http://www.quakenet.org/ 2.) Find where you downloaded the program and install it following the onscreen instructions. 3.) Once the program is installed it is time to set it up so you can connect to the required server. 4.)Open mIRC. You will then get a popup to edit some settings if you don't click the icon as shown in the image below  You will also need to fill out your name, email address, nickname and a second nickname incase your first is taken. 5.) Next select the "servers" tab, under IRC network search for "Quakenet" (image below)  6) To auto connect to #combatarms press Alt+O and open the options tab. Then under Connect--Options select perform. Then type in /j #combatarms and then tick Perform On Connect 7) Your done. Happy Chatting A non complicated way to do this is to use http://webchat.quakenet.org/ Type your username in the nickname and type "combatarms" in the Channel *Mod Sticky Please* |
